Americký skladatel Michael Anderson, který od roku 1996 pracuje pod jménem DREKKA, hodně cestuje, cestuje a spolupracuje; sbírá vzpomínky a vytváří osobní zvukový archiv, který sahá až do poloviny 80. let.Drekka vydal rozsáhlé dílo na labelech jako Auris Apothecary, Dais, Fabrica, Morc, Silber, Somnimage a na Andersonově vlastním labelu Bluesanct. Anderson také nahrával a koncertoval jako člen projektů jako Jessica Bailiff, Dylan Ettinger, In Gowan Ring, Lovesliescrushing, Annelies Monser√©, Stone Breath a Turn Pale.Drekka nachází spřízněnost ve zvukových krajinách a nelineárním impresionismu Cindytalk nebo Coil, industriální tíze Einst√ľrzende Neubauten nebo Etant Donnes a filmové spolupráci Edwarda Artěmjeva & Andreje Tarkovského nebo Simona Fishera Turnera & Dereka Jarmana. Jeho dílo je však osobité, jedinečné a velmi osobní.Andersonova tvorba se silně zabývá tématy ticha, paměti a zapomnění; funguje jako přímá linka k mysli a její chatrné zásobárně vzpomínek. Je zde zřetelně patrný nestřežený freneticismus, který není zastíněn poetickými abstrakcemi, ale snaží se obsadit a konfrontovat temné prostory, které tvoří slabou oblast paměti, snů, úzkosti a hmatatelného, strašidelného pocitu meznosti.
BU.D.D.A.
Bund des dritten Auges je duo, které tvoří Sascha Stadlmeier (EMERGE) a Chris Sigdell (B¬įTONG). Věnuje se meditativní ambientní drone hudbě a na rozdíl od svých sólových projektů zde hrají místo kytary a houslí. Od svého vzniku v Barceloně 2019 vydalo duo několik EP a – navzdory pandemii ‚Äď absolvovalo dvě vyprodaná německá turné. Druhé společně s N (Hellmut Neidhardt, Denovali Records), s nímž také nahráli celé album….Mezitím dokončili své první plnohodnotné album, které by mělo vyjít na okruhu Zhelezobeton/attenuation. Na ‚ÄúDiese Anmut von Troph√§en’ÄĚ hostují Common Eider/King Eider, Drekka a Bebawinigi. Pět skladeb, které se pohybují na pomezí trancelike a disturbing a ukazují všestrannost Bu.d.d.A. drone.Pro ty, kteří potřebují jména: Bu.d.d.A. může znít jako Troum meets Earth společně s Brianem Enem v jeho nejambientnější fázi. Ve skutečnosti duo navazuje na odkaz skupiny NID (1995- 2005), jejímž byl Chris členem a která vydala CD u Auf Abwegen, než se rozpadla a vydala se vlastní cestou. NID lze spolu s Maeror Tri považovat za inovátory německého (dark) ambientu, a to dávno předtím, než do rozjetého vlaku naskočil kdokoli jiný.

Working under the name DREKKA since 1996, American composer Michael Anderson has toured, traveled, and collaborated extensively; collecting memories and building a personalized archive of sound that dates back to the mid-1980’s.Drekka has released a large body of work on labels such as Auris Apothecary, Dais, Fabrica, Morc, Silber, Somnimage, and Anderson’s own label, Bluesanct. Anderson has also recorded and toured as a member of such as projects as Jessica Bailiff, Dylan Ettinger, In Gowan Ring, Lovesliescrushing, Annelies Monser√©, Stone Breath, and Turn Pale.Drekka find kinship in the soundscapes and non-linear impressionism of Cindytalk or Coil, the industrial gravity of Einst√ľrzende Neubauten or Etant Donnes, and the cinematic collaborations of Edward Artemiev & Andrei Tarkovsky or Simon Fisher Turner & Derek Jarman. But his work is singular, unique, and very personal.Anderson’s work dwells heavily on themes of silence, memory, and forgetfulness; functioning as a direct line to the mind and its tenuous cache of memories. An unguarded freneticism is clearly on display, rather than being obscured by poetic abstractions; seeking to occupy and confront those dark spaces which comprise the tenuous province of memory, dreams, anxiety, and a palpable, haunted sense of liminality.

Bund des dritten Auges is a duo consisting of Sascha Stadlmeier (EMERGE) and Chris Sigdell (B¬įTONG). It is dedicated to meditative ambient drone music and contrary to their respective solo projects here they play guitar and violin instead. Since its conception in Barcelona 2019, the duo has released a couple of EPs, and – despite the pandemic ‚Äď completed two sold-out German tours. The second together with N (Hellmut Neidhardt, Denovali Records), with whom they also recorded a whole album…Meanwhile, the two have completed their first full album, which is set to be released on Zhelezobeton/attenuation circuit. ‚ÄúDiese Anmut von Troph√§en‚ÄĚ features guest-appearances by Common Eider/King Eider, Drekka and Bebawinigi. 5 songs that move between the trancelike and the disturbing and showcase the versatility of Bu.d.d.A. drone.For those who need names: Bu.d.d.A. may sound like Troum meets Earth together with Brian Eno in his most ambient phase. In reality the duo builds on the legacy of NID (1995- 2005), who Chris was a member of, and which released a CD on Auf Abwegen before disbanding and going separate ways. NID, along with Maeror Tri, can be seen as the innovators of German (dark) ambient music, long before anyone else jumped the train.
